One Day National Workshop on Implementation of Undergraduate Education Policy through establishing Offices of Undergraduate Studies and Development of Career and Internship Framework through statutory bodies at HEIs under the umbrella of Higher Education Development Project (HEDP) HEC was organized by PERU, on Tuesday, 24th October, 2023 at Higher Education Commission. Headquarters Islamabad. The workshop was physically attended by representatives from HEIs across Pakistan including Directors, Registrars, Placement and Career Offices Heads, Nominees of provincials Higher Education Department. representatives from National Academy Higher Education, World Bank, Education Experts and policy makers. On behalf off Govt College Women University Faisalabad, Mr. Asif A. Malik, Registrar GCWUF ( focal person for work shop) and Dr Salma Shahid, In-charge Analytical and Health Diagnostic services Centre, and as nominee of Director Academics GCWUF attended the workshop. The purpose of this event was to devise internship policy mechanisms well as SoPs to collaborate with industry and for implementation of UGP and its internship programme in order to activate Youth Development Centre and encourage students to built their career goals. Prof. Dr. Mehmood ul Hassan Butt, Project Director HEDP and Dr Syed Afaq Hussain, Consultant Capacity Building highlighted the significance of the internship programme to enhance professional opportunities and personal growth of students enrolled in HEIs of Pakistan. The workshop was an excellent opportunity to smoothly integrate higher education reforms for making purpose built BS degree and producing skilled human resource with the highest ethical an intellectual standards.
